This article will walk you through the layout, explain the key sections of the dashboard, and help you understand how to use it efficiently.
The Inventory Dashboard is your starting point in Inventory Hub — a real-time overview of all vehicles currently moving through your dealership’s inventory process. It gives users quick access to vehicle statuses, task progress, FLR indicators, and high-level workflows so they can prioritize their day.
Understanding Dashboard Statistics
The Inventory Dashboard includes a dynamic stats bar at the top that gives you an at-a-glance summary of your inventory activity and performance. These stats update in real time and are based on vehicles in the Active stage (approved but not archived).
Top-Level Statistics
-
Active – The total number of vehicles currently in the Active stage. This includes both New and Used vehicles that have been approved and not yet archived.
-
New – A count of all new vehicles in the Active stage.
-
Used – A count of all used vehicles in the Active stage.
-
Incomplete – Active vehicles that have not yet completed all required tasks or line-items.
-
Complete – Active vehicles that have completed all assigned tasks and are considered ready.
-
FLR Average Days – The average number of days from when a vehicle was approved to when it achieved Front-Line Readiness (FLR). Learn more about how this is calculated in the Front-Line Readiness article.
Second-Level Statistics
These give you a breakdown of readiness by vehicle type:
-
New Complete – New vehicles in the Active stage that are fully complete.
-
New Incomplete – New vehicles in the Active stage that still have outstanding work.
-
Used Complete – Used vehicles in the Active stage that are fully complete.
-
Used Incomplete – Used vehicles in the Active stage that still have tasks or line-items to be completed.
Viewing and Filtering Vehicles
From the dashboard, you view vehicles by Lifecycle Stage (Needs Approval, Active, or Archived) to focus on what matters most. Learn more about how vehicles move between these stages in the Vehicle Lifecycle Stages article.
You can also search or apply filters to every column to quickly zero in on the vehicles they need to act on.
Customizing Dashboard Columns
The Inventory Dashboard is designed to be flexible, allowing users to tailor the data they see based on their role and focus.
-
Column Layouts May Vary: Active columns can differ between New and Used inventory views, showing relevant fields depending on the vehicle type.
-
User Control: Each user can choose which columns to display. To customize your view, click the "Columns" button at the top right of the dashboard. From there, you can toggle individual columns on or off based on what matters most to you.
This feature helps streamline your workflow by keeping only the most relevant information visible — whether you're focused on pricing, location, readiness, or service status.
Switching to the "Outstanding" View
In addition to the standard Inventory Dashboard, users can switch to the Outstanding view — a streamlined way to focus purely on open and incomplete work across all vehicles.
The Outstanding view surfaces tasks and service line items that are still in progress or awaiting action, cutting out the noise of completed work and giving teams a clear path to what needs attention.
This view is especially useful for:
-
Service departments and coordinators monitor work that hasn't been finished.
-
Inventory managers looking to prioritize high-impact tasks.
-
Daily stand-ups or workflow reviews, where the team needs a fast snapshot of bottlenecks.
You can toggle between the standard Dashboard and Outstanding views depending on what stage of the process you're working in. Both views still link directly to the full Inventory Profile, where you can drill into the full task list, notes, and history.
Dashboard Indicators
Front-Line Readiness (FLR)
Each vehicle row displays a Front-Line Readiness indicator, which uses color and a day counter to show how long a unit has been in process and how it’s tracking against benchmarks.
Complete/Incomplete
Alongside FLR, each vehicle on the dashboard includes a Complete/Incomplete indicator, which gives a quick visual on whether all assigned tasks (not just FLR-flagged ones) are done.
-
Green means the vehicle is Complete — all tasks assigned to the vehicle have been marked as done, and the FLR dropdown is set to ready.
-
Orange means the vehicle is still Incomplete — at least one assigned task remains open or it's not marked as FLR-ready.
While this can sometimes align with Front-Line Readiness (FLR) status, it's important to note they are not always the same. A vehicle may be marked FLR-ready if only FLR-flagged tasks are complete, even if non-FLR tasks are still open. The Complete/Incomplete indicator, on the other hand, reflects the total task list — making it a broader view of vehicle prep status.
This dual-layer feedback helps managers prioritize what’s ready for the front line versus what’s fully finished.
Opening an Inventory Profile
Clicking on any vehicle from the dashboard takes you directly to its Inventory Profile, the detailed workspace for managing that vehicle’s progress. The profile includes:
-
Task lists
-
Vehicle and pricing info
-
Service Line-Items
-
Notes
-
Widgets (some permission-based)
