Understand what Front-Line Readiness (FLR) means in Inventory Hub, how vehicles achieve it, and how to track it.
Front-Line Readiness (FLR) is a key milestone in the inventory process — it tells the team that a vehicle is fully prepared to be seen by customers, either online or on the lot.
In Inventory Hub, FLR is used as a system indicator to show that a vehicle has completed its required tasks and is ready to be marketed, sold, or test-driven.
What Makes a Vehicle FLR?
A vehicle is marked as front-line ready either when:
- all tasks flagged as FLR are completed
- when the status is manually changed using the dropdown in the Vehicle Profile.
Whether a task counts toward FLR depends on its settings — only tasks marked with the FLR flag contribute to the vehicle’s readiness status. Changing which tasks are flagged for FLR requires an Admin role, as these Dealership Settings affect the overall workflow for your dealership.
Typical FLR tasks often include mechanical inspection, detailing, photography, and pricing approval—once these are done, the vehicle is flagged as FLR in Inventory Hub and ready for the next step.
FLR Indicator and Counter on the Inventory Dashboard
To help you track readiness at a glance, the Inventory Dashboard features a dedicated FLR indicator for each vehicle. This indicator uses color coding to show how the vehicle’s time in the current stage compares against your dealership’s FLR benchmarks:
-
Yellow signals the vehicle is within 48 hours of the target of being FLR.
- Orange signals the vehicle is less than 24 hours from the FLR target
-
Red indicates the vehicle has exceeded the expected time and may require immediate action.
Alongside the color-coded indicator, there’s a counter showing the number of days since the vehicle entered the FLR stage. This helps your team quickly identify delays and prioritize work to keep inventory moving efficiently.
