      Managing Notifications

      In this article, we will discuss the flexibility of the notification system and guide you through managing your notification settings, ensuring that you receive important updates tailored to your role and preferences.

      Global Dealership Notification Settings:

      1. Log in to your Dealer by Design account, and click Settings in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

      2. Click the Settings option.
      3. Click Edit in the CONFIGURATION section.
      4. Locate the 'Enable Delivery Notifications' setting.
      5. Toggle this setting on or off according to your dealership's preference. Note that this setting affects the entire dealership and should generally be left on. It may be turned off during setup when mass changes are being made to the system to prevent inbox overflow.

      User Notification Settings:

      1. Log in to your Dealer by Design account, and click Settings in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

      2. Click the gear icon to the right of the user profile name.  Within the profile, you will find two sections affecting notifications: notifications and roles.

        • All Notifications: Enable or disable this setting to receive all system-generated notifications for every activity within the system, regardless of your role in a delivery. Recommended for Fixed Operations users.
        • Daily Status Emails: Enable this setting to receive a summary email of the previous day's activity at 8 AM.
        • Suppress Notifications: Enable this setting if you do not want to receive any Dealer by Design notifications.

        Understand How Roles Affect Notifications:

        • When your profile has a role selected, such as Sales, Sales Manager, Delivering, or Finance, and you are tagged on a scheduled delivery, you will receive notifications generated for that specific scheduled delivery.
